I near my three–score years and ten
So what the lessons of the road?
What wisdom does my mind enfold
What are the truths, what do I know?
Once, many things were clear,
I was so certain, held no doubt.
But now such clarity is curtained,
Understanding churned about
If age brings wisdom, I am young,
What is the truthful way to live?
My time has come, yet just begun
And love is all I have to give.
If you, my child should seek advice,
My sage, considered, knowing views.
I have no answers to provide,
But to question all you do.
If you would judge what we have done,
Then look around you, daughter, son?
