What are these sights I see?

What feelings are in me?

Where then will thinking lead?
If a needful man I am
What is it that I need?
If I am a lying man
What is the truth to tell?
If a truthful man I am,
How can I lie so well?
If I am an honest man
Why do I steal away?
If I am a guilty man,
What is the price is to pay?
If I am a hearing man,
What are these sounds I hear?
The silence of the deaf all round
Or sweet music in my ears.
