In an upstairs bar in Earls Court Road
The disco music played.
I joined the dancing shadows there
And one more shadow made.
Through coloured lights across the room
Two dark brown eyes met mine.
He smiled at me I smiled at him
The music was the wine.
We smiled, we danced I had no fears
My heart brimmed up with joy.
And then he whispered in my ear
I bet you think I am a boy?
